16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

Soroptimist International Bray & District are actively participating in the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.

On Friday evening they were in situ outside the Town Hall in Bray providing information and raising awareness. On Saturday, my daughter Róisín and I were proud to join these amazing women outside Bray DART Station. Keep an eye out for them across the town and District and stop by to say hello.

To hear the stories of a number of women who stopped to talk to us on the day was very hard but so important. My thanks to them for sharing their experiences.

We need to have conversations about violence against women and create better awareness of the supports available and about recognising the 'red flags'. Jenny Kristín expresses this with such bravery in the following video produced by Soroptimist International of Europe.
