On Thursday, 21 March, the Irish Network Against Racism relaunched it's Anti-Racism Election Protocol (AREP) at the front of Leinster House.

INAR states 'The AREP 2024 has particular relevance in the context of the recently seen rise in the politics of hatred and racist propaganda that has resulted in the scapegoating of migrants and refugees,  riots, arson attacks, and hate crimes against minorities in recent months. . The Protocol can help keep the upcoming elections free from toxic discourse that misinforms, manipulates voters, sows division, and hatred and poisons political debate. The Anti-Racism Election Protocol has played an important role since 2001 in ensuring that elections have been conducted in such a way that they do not incite hatred or prejudice on the grounds of ‘race’, colour, nationality or ethnic origin, religious belief and membership of the Traveller Community.'

In 2019 when first running for Local Election I signed the ENAR (European Network Against Racism) protocol and have worked hard to carry out my role in an inclusive manner that stands up to racism and creates a society for all.

I will continue my campaign for re-election in the same manner and I very happy to sign the INAR (Irish Network Against Racism) Anti-Racism Election Protocol 2024.
